HISTORY OF DURABLA

Durabla Canada has international roots dating back to 1922 with the manufacturing of extensive multi-purposed rubber materials to various industries around the world. In the early 1970’s the decision was made to find a suitable location to build a manufacturing plant in Ontario to focus primarily on the production of gasket materials as effective sealants with zero leakage regardless of temperatures.

In 1973 Belleville, Ontario was chosen as an ideal location to build given its central location to major Canadian markets and transportation hubs for international shipping. There have been two additions to the original facility; the second expansion was completed in 1985 and has allowed Durabla Canada to increase the manufacturing capabilities and research and development laboratory.
